Privacy · draft, in review

What we hold, and what we made sure we cannot.

This describes the international version of TLDR Money. It is a working draft published for transparency while the reviewed version is prepared, and it will be replaced before the app launches.

Who operates this

TLDR Money is operated by Sonal Systems Private Limited, CIN U62099GJ2026PTC179785, registered at A-3, Mehsana Nagar, Nizampura, Vadodara 390002, India. Contact: hello@tldrmoney.in.

What the app cannot see

Worth stating before the list of what it does collect, because these are architectural rather than promises:

No bank credentials or connections. There is no Plaid integration, no open-banking handoff and no account aggregation. The app has no route to your accounts.

No email access. The international version does not connect to your inbox and never requests the permission that would allow it. (The separate Indian version does offer Gmail-based tracking, with explicit consent; that is a different product on a different domain.)

No SMS or contacts access. Not requested.

What we collect

Your email address, to create and recover your account.

The financial data you enter — transactions, categories, asset values, liabilities, and the assumptions behind your projection. You type, speak or scan all of it; none of it is imported.

Text extracted from receipts you scan. The reading happens on your device; the resulting text, not the image, is what reaches us.

Basic technical and diagnostic data needed to run the service and fix crashes.

Where it goes

Your account and the data above are stored with our hosting and database provider. Speech recognition for voice entry and text recognition for receipt scanning run on your device, so neither the audio nor the photograph is transmitted.

Generating spending insights involves sending your transaction data to an AI processing provider. That provider is under selection and will be named here before the feature ships, along with the agreement governing it.

We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or pass it to advertising networks. There is no anonymised-and-resold loophole, because there is no advertising business to feed.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, export it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent for any optional processing. Email hello@tldrmoney.in from your registered address and a person handles it.

Readers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area have additional statutory rights, and the specific lawful bases, retention periods and representative details required to document them are being finalised. They will appear in the reviewed version rather than being estimated here.
